Position Overview

As a member of our agency team, you have an opportunity to experience first-hand what it takes to be a State Farm Agent and work in a highly competitive office. You will build and develop customer relationships within the community to promote State Farm products including auto, home and life insurance. This position will allow you to experience working in an agent's office with growth opportunities and turn this job into a career!

Responsibilities

  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
  • Network and create your own centers of influence to drive sales to the office.
  • Work as a team to reach all agency sales and profitability goals.

Requirements

  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred but not required
  • Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs
  • Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
  • Organizational skills
  • Self-driven and competitive
  • Detail oriented
  • Proactive in problem solving
  • Ability to make presentations to potential customers
  • Ability to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews
  • Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain) paid by company
  • Life and Health license (must be able to obtain) paid by company
  • $1000 starting bonus upon passing all licenses and being appointed with State Farm

Compensation $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
